ADJASA’s 2022 / 2023 Conference

ADJASA hosted its conference and regular general meeting at the Salt Rock Hotel in Ballito, KwaZulu Natal from 18 to 20 August 2022.

The conference was ADJASA’s first in-person event since 2019, and included three days of thought-provoking presentations by leading public law academics and practitioners. The conference underscored the importance of strong ethics and accountability in the public administration.

A highlight of the conference was an engaging discussion between Professors Hugh Corder and Cora Hoexter who reminisced about ‘The PAJA, 1999–2022: Its drafting and its subsequent fate’. Both served on the project committee established to draft the Promotion of Administrative Justice Act (PAJA) in 1999.
